Bill, Your statement about Mooter helps me understand the quality of your information and reasoning behind your decision to short Valence!
Your words <<...I would seriously doubt that "mooter" has a net worth in excess of $5,000..">>

For your information, Mooter is a CFA (Chartered financial analyst) and MBA who was instrumental in bringing several companies public, including Reebok. I understand he recently owned around 250,000 shares of NETE that he acquired in the $1 to $3 range and recently sold over 100,000 shares in the $14 to $15 range to raise cash to acquire more Valence.

His 200,000 un-margined shares of NETE at $15 were worth $3 million. If he sold 100,000 shares in double digits, he should still have over 100k shares of NETE. I understand he has been steadily acquiring more Valence on dips to the 6's and would estimate that he now owns somewhere between 200,000 and 500,000 shares.

You may recall a recent post when I congratulated him on his timing for taking profits in NETE so he could move them into Valence. He had always indicated that he considered NETE of lesser potential than VLNC.

It would appear you underestimated his net worth by a factor of at least 500 and probably 1000 or more. Again, your judgement or lack thereof helps explain your decision to short Valence.

Bill,

The reason I suggested depositing the $ 100,000 with a reputable third party is to make certain that we both put the money in escrow.

I assure you I have the funds - in fact if you would like to make it $ 200,000, I would be happy to accommodate you.

Your friend,

Mooter
