>>have you downloaded a new browser, or newer browser version lately?<<

Are you suggesting IE5 may be creating problems?

mark, yes I downloaded IE 5.0 a couple weeks ago. The new IE 5.0 made the earlier problems even WORSE. I believe that IE 5.0 must demand more resources to operate. BUT once I brought the RAM up from 56K to 104K all the old problems cleared up.

But then the blue screen started. The blue screen did not start with the browser upgrade, but with the RAM upgrade. The blue screen says something about a "browser error ctrl-alt-del to reboot". BUT if I "esc" I can get out if it, it leaves the system unstable, so if I can I generally close all open files ASAP, and press [start] and [shut down]. THEN it always hangs before the full close down, so I switch it off manually.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Colin

The MS IE 5.0 Browser discussion...

Today was an active day yet my system ran FLAWLESSLY!!

I made three changes made recently:

Added MS IE 5.0
Upgraded RAM SIMMS from 56K to 104K
Moved the dynamic SWAP FILE from the cluttered drive C: to the nearly empty G: partition.
