El: Yes I did notice. I am aware of the amounts involved in your case and it must be harrowing, sometimes. It will come back and quicker and higher than you are allowing right now, but I hope next time you will lock in some of the profits and either diversify or buy something real with it.

El...RE: "birds are singin' and 22 year old women" ....could be the same to victor...in England anyway. High 30's by end of 1999 means that CPQ stock went from 39 (SEP 97) to 37-39 (DEC 99). Banks pay better interest. That doesn't sound encouraging. With prospects like that WS will stay away. Loki

El: I share your views. I'm going to look at buying the Jan 2001 calls for 20, 25 and 30, as well as, some puts to get some 'free' premiums. In next 20 months, this company better come back or join the companies like 3COM, SHVA and other networking companies. This company has the market share, deversified products for all sectors, leading technology, service offerings, great internet product in AV, and not to mention great employees. All we need is stronger management. I'm in it and I may be a buyer again at this level. This company is not being marketed and advertisied as a true enterprise company. This company is going to compete against IBM. It will take time. It took IBM 2 years to get back. Look where it is now. This company is worth $60-70 worth stock today, imho, based on its market potential in next 2-3 years and compared to valuation of Dell, SUNW, IBM. -Nilesh.
