When they tossed out the idea of spinning off Altavista, it got crushed as an idea. I didn't understand that, but didn't really hear why no one thought it had value. I use it every day and don't see why it wouldn't be as attractive a .com as anything else. However, dec as a whole, is a different matter. I never liked dec. They were like a ibm wannabe with something going on in every area, but not as good controls. They disappointed almost every release like MOT does these days. If you sold cpq in Feb...you nailed it.
