266 mhz iMacs will be all gone from ComputerWare (ten store Mac chain) within a day or two. They are giving away 64 megs with purchase and have scant inventory besides. They expect 333s next week. And only two of the stores have any rev B's at all.

I don't know how many 266s Apple made this last quarter but it sold them all. The inventory will probably make Michael Dell jealous.

Seems to me that whether we have a blowout report or just a few cents over comes down to the pro line. I'm optimistic.

And in the anecdotal department, we just finished a quarter where more people I know bought Macs than ever before. By far. And the momentum seems to be continuing because I know at least two people who are finding the current PowerBook prices very attractive. One guy already gave in, but that was in March. <<gggg>>

Btw, Herb made a very deft post on the CPQ board that eloquently argued the Apple case after setting them up with the thesis that other box makers will recover before CPQ does, as a trade.
