Looking at a weekly chart, CPQ had 5 big drops (30% or more) in the last couple of years. Each drop was from near all time high, and each one was followed by a return to the high, or higher in two months. Maybe this time is different.

Re MOT, after being written off, is back to its all time high with a near vertical climb. So it is very possible CPQ will be back to 50 by October.

What probably annoys some, is this warning comes when every index is at all-time high and maybe an excuse to raise cash.

re: l but they need to go away or the market needs to realize they are becoming like Motorola, or HP the last couple years. Who cares if they miss.

Agreed and fwiw I predict an up day tomorrow for one of my net stocks (GNET) based on my "# of SI posts" informal survey this weekend. Cpq will not affect GNET it seems to me, and that means it won't affect lots of others either.

I don't go over to that thread though because I am the oldest person over there.

The amazon thread is the senior internet investor thread. Hate to say it guys, but its true.
