Taxman, Olstein is right, but the drunken bulls still buy LU with both hands.

Most of them are clueless people or decided to ignore fundamentals and are momentum players.

If YHOO with flat earnings growth of 11 cents trades at $210 then why not LU at $400 <GGG> so goes the logic of the idiots and scam masters which include many CEO and CFO of publicly traded companies.

Is it a crime to manage earnings? - yes it is. Why they do not enforece it? Slik needs it for political reason to keep him and his administration in office.

No position in LU for the time being.

If CSCO is a growth company, then I think LU will also be a growth company in the years to come, and probably will grow faster. Why ? The market is large enough for both to grow together. There is no reason to say only CSCO can grow , while LU can't , and both had strong R&D, Sales teams. Lu, probably will grow even faster, why ? LU is not just in Networking, but Telecommunication , which will be the fastest growing industry in the next 10 years, as well as telecommunication semiconductor
business, i.e LU microelectronics. All in all, I own both .

Please see my post on the Ascend board for a point by point refutation of this article. FYI this is not even Olstein's original research. A hack outfit called Center for Financial Research and Analysis distributed the original LU quality of earnings scare sheet back in mid February. It was a big contributer to alot of short action by hedge funds, most of which has since been covered at a significant loss. Bottom line - Earnings growth has been good and will be good. The March quarter is on track and the street knows it.
