Hi Andretti --

<<do you know how to find out what companies have requested or are listed as licensees to Time Domain's technology? Maybe we can check out the companies there. The list you found showed Worldcom...I wonder who else is investing in this company?>>

Excellent question. Time for some research... I'll also be checking the Federal Register for any requests for public comments regarding this issue ...

Hi Andretti - I sent an information request to Time Domain for two things - a) investment opportunities with Time Domain (understanding that the company is currently private) and b) a list of the companies which have licensed Time Domain technologies...

The FCC's notice of inquiry (NOI) was published in September 1, 1998 for the purpose of:

"The Commission is initiating this inquiry on its own motion to investigate the possibility of permitting the operation of ultra-wideband (UWB) radio systems on an unlicensed basis under Part 15 of its rules. Such systems could provide an improved method for providing radar applications where precise distance resolution is required and for providing covert voice or data communications that
overcome multipath problems. Through this inquiry, we are seeking input to help us evaluate UWB technology and what standards and operating requirements are necessary to prevent interference to
other users of the radio spectrum. Upon review of the responses to this inquiry, we will determine whether to propose any changes to the rules."

The NOI and industry responses to the NOI is found under the following web site along with lots of other great information about ultra-wide-band (UWB)technology. It really appears that Time Domain is at the cutting edge of technology.
