Which brings up an important point. I wish Apple would take the lead role in placing DVD drives in all the Macs they make. I recall years ago when CD-ROM drives were new, Apple was one of the first major box makers to commit to installing them in all new models. They really pushed the technology and adoption of the CD-ROM standard forward.

In contrast, Apple really seems to be taking the back seat this time. Sure, you could argue that prices for new boxes were much higher then, but at a minimum they should include DVD drives in all new B&W G3s, IMHO.
