I believe Microsoft would prefer not to see the ATHM/AT&T net-centric vision of TV + internet gain the upper hand. I suspect they would want to make sure that Windows CE is a required part of any settop box Ok, I'm suffering a disconnect here. What does ATHM/AT&T vision of TV/Internet have to do with what OS the settop box uses? Has @home already decided to use another OS in their future settops? I've long thought @home and Microsoft should cozy up together somehow, after all both have AOL as an arch-enemy. Eric BTW: I was a long time user of WinCE handhelds. Lousy OS all in all, but I'm sure it will do as good as any for settops.
