My comments about the 36-bits and the 4-way alpha are tongue in cheek. Obviously a 4-way alpha will run faster if any SMP support is available for multi-threading. As for the 36-bits, that will only annoy people. Shades of DOS!

Wow! Wintel is considering going back to the segmented architecture? Who would actually purchase such a beast knowing that 64 bit has existed for years now? And can you imaging the coding costs for the ISVs? Or will the OS handle it? Hey, maybe Quarterdeck will come out with a memory manager for NT!
