CPQ misses earnings; ACTV up 93% in a week. Perhaps the end of the PC era and the beginning of the TV Convergence era?

"Remember when we used to need a PC to access the internet?"

"This would be a trading stock and not a
long term hold."
Well, many of us here think the future looks as bright for IATV as AMZN's or EBAY's or any of the other net stocks that have a 52 week low of 8 and are trading at 150. They went from 8 to 150 based on their prospects and I think ACTV's are excellent given their partnerships and technology. You see, I have an active imagination and can imagine such things as the Auction Channel, the Horseracing Channel and a learning channel where you can pull up everything you want to learn from the web right from the comfort of your easy chair with the click of the remote. Now, if you think I'm dreaming you better check back this time next year and see who's right.
One other thing to consider is the fact of broadband access. AOL is currently planning to cry to Congress about access to cable's fat pipes. I know every time I access the net I cuss my pc. You know the feeling - you hit a link and time passes or nothing at all happens due to the bottlejam that the net has become. I want a cable modem and I'll pay up for it. Someday they'll probably be giving them away too just so you can do your shopping on your TV. As Dylan said, "the times they are a changin'."

LOST1,I think one weakness in P&F is it doesn't account for float turnover that occur in these small float stocks
creating ever higher c/b basis base point.
Tech on this company is superior with 2.5 million shares held by Liberty Media and a million by GIC---and it does have the potential to make a wild run like BCST,eventhough it has terrible fundies, but it is an intimate part of the broadband/cable internet connection and services and thus has extreme growth potential--and they are the possesor of 18 patents, more and more money is going into companies that have invested all their time into development of a high-tech for a sector that has massive future growth potential--as someone said regards TUNE,that IATV is the ENGINE that TCI runs on.
This is all of course just the positive side speculations of someone who bought the stock at 17(me),and are only my opinion --everyone must do their own DD,and not rely on anything I say--this is just food for debate.Max90
