Hey, what's happening all? You know, the difficult thing about posting on a message board as opposed to audible speech is the tone and inflection is lost when only typing. All humor relies on tone and inflection as, for example is the case with all sarcasm. (My comment on saying sorry was actually from a movie where Charlton Hesston screamed at Tim Mathison, who was playing his son, right after they were in a HUGE argument..."YOU TELL ME YOU LOVE ME BEFORE YOU WALK OUT OF HERE!!!" One of the funniest moments in the movie! Ha! I said-- "I love you all, now YOU SAY YOU'RE SORRY!"-- Meaning kiss and make up! LOL. Everything I have posted was meant in the lightest, good-natured tone... yet some seem to have been offended. I'll tell you a possible reason. They have too much invested in CYOE and IMO have risked too much... so at this point the whole issue is too personal for them. I didn't realize that I was stepping in front of a locomotive, and since a person is so easily misunderstood with typing... I think I'll just stand clear from the issue. I just noticed that certain newbies (I'll name them if you want but I don't see it as necessary) were reading the -- at this point growingly passionate and negative comments regarding CYOE and blindly trusting that growingly passionate speech.... thereby putting too much on the stock..... when in actuality CYOE is no more or less important than any other stock that is discussed and/or shorted on this board -- at least from a moneymaking perspective, though not necessarily from a moral perspective. Sure, it's always nice to bring justice where justice is due. But ultimately we are all here to make great trades and increase our capital. Friendship and teamwork and everything else are the great things we enjoy as byproducts of our work. But this is our work. It is a business. And therefore my comments regarding CYOE were only meant in a business context... not a personal context. I just don't see it as the best short going. Period. Still, many times the passionate speech surrounding CYOE would make it sound to some as though it were "the best short going". This was the same sort of enthusiasm and passionate speech that surrounded OMGA as it tracked from the 6's all the way to the high 14's. If you go back and read the posts before and after March 15 regarding OMGA, it will make you cringe as you can see that sometimes we all do exactly the same thing that we criticize THE LONGS of doing. That is having tunnel vision and being unwilling to listen to THE SHORTS when we bring the truth to them. In the case of OMGA, hope made many hold on too long IMO. It's human nature. We all have great hope. Sometimes it gets too great and makes us blind to any other possibilities. The people on this board seem to be some of the few in the investment community that have gained a control over letting false hope overcome them. Witness the huge payoffs for everyone here. Anthony has become a master at it. I believe that this human nature is what we are all up against. What we are doing is NOT investment. We are playing a game, much like basketball, golf, raquetball etc... which takes strategy, finesse and control over our emotions. Long term investors don't need these things. Traders do. Most folks never gain this ability over their base nature. This is what presents our opportunities. It's what causes huge spike-ups and the unwillingness to sell and take a profit at the right time by many. If we become good at it, and gain control over the emotions that fuel herd mentality, our payoffs are HUGE compared with regular investors. Likewise, if we are bad at it, our losses are just as huge. IMO, a comment about a dislike of what is happening with any stock that has been or is being shorted on this board should not ever foster hostile dialogue. A family atmosphere is one of the things that makes this board great. (even though you might walk into many family's homes and everyone is rolling around on the floor, biting, scratching, kicking and pulling each other's hair! LOL) But now I do say, I'm sorry if I offended, it was not meant as such. -Tabler
