to anyone:
I'm making a transition from short term position trading, to full time daytrading using a technique that works very well going long, but would work twice as good going from long to short in the same stock. I've been put under the understanding that a person can short their own shares once a long position has already been established. Possible y by offering up your own long position on the bid so as to make the inside bid tick up (just offering it up at price higher than the present inside bid).
Hope that was understandable. Anyone have any experiance on that? Also, how well do ECN's really work in the real world when one is trying to bogart their way in front of the "axe" on the inside bid or ask? Any one ever run into trouble from the "axe", or other major MM's when trying to get in front of them? Thanx much from whoever can take the time to answer.
