For one thing, the Ericy-Q announcement came barely two weeks ago (how the world has seemed different for so much longer than that!) and giant enterprise planning doesn't normally turn on a dime (i.e., the nature of the opportunity for disruptive technologies). In addition, many which stand to benefit from the opportunity that CDMA as a global standard now presents are probably, in the first instance, assessing how to leverage their existing businesses off this opportunity, rather than factoring how they would amortize the (necessarily) healthy good will implicit in a takeout. I, for one, hope that it does not come to pass, if the posters on this and GK thread are correct. Regards. Liacos_samui.

I'm of course not looking forward to being submerged into some behemoth. Anyone have any good reasons why this hasn't happened so far and why it won't in the future?

The price would have to be 300 if done now, IMO. Softy could do it, but would get run into by the DOJ. I would love it. Hey, take the money and run!
