MSFT had made 3 acquisitions in streaming media/interactivity.

I'm not sure what the acquisitions would be. They recently signed a content deal with one of the aggregators of media and made a major investment last month in a company called thingworld.com which is a minor part of that market.

Separate, but related is the broadband market where Microsoft (unlike AOL) has made significant investments:
news.com

But the significant factor in streaming media is not what they've bought, but what they've built mostly in-house. Microsoft now offers both sides of the streaming media model. They offer a server (used by the provider to pump out that streaming data), and they have a client (used by individuals to view or hear the content).

Most news stories give RealNetworks 85% market share in this area, leaving the rest mostly to Microsoft. But -- although I can't find the story now -- I did see something the other day that set Real's share of servers at about 65% and Microsoft's at a bit over 20%.
