From the Internet Motley Fool board:

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has reprinted a story originally carried in the New York Times. I found it in the Sunday paper here in the Twin Cities this morning.

The story, which includes the Clik! stuff, seems to be getting around.

www2.startribune.com

Leon Malmed, senior vice president for marketing and sales for Sandisk said "the microdrive's miniature moving parts would be vulnerable to damage and that it costs too much for most consumers."

Right now at 9:35 AM, it is cloudy and cool, with a definite chill in the air. The sidewalks and grass are damp from the overnight rain. Time to go for a walk around Lake Harriet.

See you later,

Leon

Editorial comment: It looks like the IBM drive just may be too fragile to be thrown around in a digital camera (particularly if dropped from a 10 story building on a sidewalk as has been alluded to by our perennial bear as a normal event in the life of a Clik! drive for which Iomega must take into account in their design specs.) ....and a little too pricey at that!
