<please list the names and companies of the top 50 CEOs > Sure, but first, since one one of the readers of this thread got in a huff when I first posted the info, tis my typing and thus my editorial. I am a long CSCO shareholder, and I don't work for Worth, for the record. Tis a credit to CSCO and its shareholders to have Chambers. Worth ranks him #2 out of the top 50 CEOs in all public companies. I think that is pretty cool, myself. The article appears in the May 1999 issue of Worth magazine. There is a cover story entitled "The Best CEOs" and the article(s) cover ~90 pages. Worth developed the criteria to evaluate the top CEO's and then asked 100 of Wall Street analysts to nominate them and then Worth evaluated them on the criteria. They list the top 50, in order of rank, with narrative for each including "Business Philosopy", "Management Style", "Strengths", "Weak Spots", "Habits", "Resume Summary", "Interests" and "Financial". OK, nuff of that--you asked for the 50- I'll type-- Errors are mine. 1. Michael Dell Dell 2. John Chambers Cisco 3. Louis Gerstner IBM 4. William Gates Microsoft 5. Raymond Gilmartin Merck 6.
