Brian, thanks for the China report. It also seems that China may enter the WTO in 11/99 when G* rolls out its service. Anyone have ideas on the +/- impact on G* from the WTO events?

The G* rebound from $12.5 to $19 has been impressive given the lack of news. Bernie already has made a nice $600,000 profit. Just think if G*.com would have a press release every once in a while :-) Here's to the 4/15 successful launch.

Institutions seem to be rebuilding positions in anticipation of the 7/1 32 sats milestone and 9-10/99 roll-out. The rule of thumb I was taught was that Wall St. looks out 9-12 months. I've used 6-9 months fairly successfully in the last couple years. Maybe a 3-6 month look-out (weekly? <gg>) is more accurate in the Internet age.

Brian-

Thanks for the report from China! Its great to hear in the field information. I've not gotten to China yet, though I've tried a couple times in the past decade. A friend of mine once hiked the great wall- nearly the entire length!

Anyway, will there be GSM/G* combination phones for sale in China? When will they be ready? This could affect growth in china if a G* phone there will always be using the sat... but then, maybe people will by sat only phones and keep a cellular phone too.
