I have noticed that Intel is dropping prices much faster than they needed to if they were to be just fighting AMD. I think they are getting really good cost structures and are actively stimulating the whole PC sector sales on purpose. They won't do this if their are going to miss earnings.

Also, I don't think PC sales are as slow as people think - I bought my Celeron A 366 at $87.50 3 weeks ago. Last Thursday when I looked, it was around $92/3! And still they are going to drop prices in the face of good demand?
