The Coz...I disagree...

If you look at 1998 Q2 results. They had a revenue of $142.9 Million and net profits of 6.2 million. Note that profit margin was 4.3% and have been increasing every quarter...98 Q3,Q4 were 4.9% & 5.0% and were 5.5% in Q1 of 99.

cgi.ca

If you look at 99's Q1 results they had revenues of $334.3 million and net earnings of $18.2 million (with a margin of 5.5% as stated above).

cgi.ca

If you look at 99's Q1 revenue compared to 98's Q4...
You'll notice an increase of 3%...from $324 to $334 million.
Note: There have been several new contracts since...CGI Employee for Q1 were 8000 and 9000 for Q2 or 12.5% more employees generating more income...(With the new acquisition they will have almost 10,000 employees)

Therefore, $400 million for the quarter is possible...(that's slightly under 300% from last year) and if margins increased by half a percent (.5) like they did between Q4 & Q1, to 6.0% or better we will see a net profit of $24 million... a 350% from Q2 98 of $6.2 million would be $21.7 million...which is also possible...

I guess we will wait and see...Sal

The Coz - the "pathetic" chart, as you called it apparently indicates a price of only $35.50 at the end of April, more in keeping with what you are suggesting.

It should also be noted that they lifted the short projection on the stock, but have not yet initiated a long projection. The following comment was taken from the public projections site ( members.home.net )

Watch for a long projection to be called on this stock somewhere in the period April 12 to April 15. The chart's clues anticipated an
intraday low of $26.50 on April 15. When a stock's price hits such a position on an INPATHIQUE chart, a company invariable
brings out some news that causes it to sharpy move up. However, in this case, the intraday low of $29 on April 8 caused the release
of encouraging news causing the price to spike up a full one week early. Since it stopped right at the old bear's Upper-boundary line
and since a stock will frequently follow that line downwards for 3 to 5 days, the decline may yet not be over. Hence the hesitation in
making a long projection call just yet. The chart indicates a price of $35.50 April 30 with a higher price being reached prior to then.
