<The advent of under $1000 PCs has put price pressure on the market>

this is one of the things that bother me about dell but one thing that happened last week that may prevent me from taking a long position id dell is...........ibm going online to sell PC's...i thought dell may be doing a deal to takeover ibm's pc line which is about a 27% market share but that doesn't seem to be the case now....also the cfo of dell was asked this question and he declined to comment on it so with the news on ibm going online and no comment from dell tells me that they will not be doing a deal like this....

it's hard to bet against michael dell but times do change and by everyone now selling sub1000 pc's that alone could really hurt dells growth.

maybe thats why he dumped several million shares
