Steve, what about IVDO? I'm new on this thread... do we just post questions for discussion about a stock? Anyway, I've been invested in IVDO for several months now, and visit the IVDO threads often. The company, Instant Video Technologies (also known as IVT), makes burstware, which is a faster-than-real-time multicasting technology. There seem to be so many killer aps...
IVT has a management team with experience at companies like Yahoo, and I don't think they would work there if the potential weren't staggering. IVT has quietly been accumulating a suite of patents in the U.S. and worldwide (South Korea, etc.), and they've entered into several interesting deals over the past few months (with companies like Virage (maker of Videologger software, which allows video footage to be searchable!), and with companies in Europe, etc). Also, IVT's chairman, Dr. Richard Lang, was recently interviewed for the Wall Street Journal's special annual periodical highlighting companies to watch in 1999. (See burst.com, the company's website for an interview transcript.)
I know that the rock group U2 was so impressed with Burstware a few years ago, when U2 used it in connection with an online event, that U2's holding company (Draysec) bought about 25% of IVT. I also know that the Burstware beta was in wide use last year, with positive feedback, and that Burstware 1.0 finally shipped this year. Carsey Warner Productions (makers of Cosby, Roseanne, etc.) adopted burstware for their company, and raved about it in a recent press release.
The stock had a low around .75 a year or more ago, and has traded as high as 12.00 recently. It dipped to 6.75 last month, and now is back at 9.50, with forays into the 10's again.
Companies like ITVU and Realnetworks have huge market caps now, and don't offer faster-than-real-time capability. Streaming video is nice, but buffering still causes delays that Burstware users absolutely don't experience... even on an ancient 486! So the potential for IVDO seems absolutely staggering to me. As bandwidth increases, and enormous storage capacities grow ever cheaper, Burstware should come into its own. After several years, this is its time to shine.
I guess IVT has just been flying under the radar, keeping things close to the vest and not issuing superfluous releases to change the price of its stock, IVDO.
If you want to learn how Burstware works, there are comprehensible white papers available at burst.com, the company's website.

So, you can tell that I like the company's IP portfolio, and you know that I'm bullish on the stock. Whatever, right? Anyway, here's my question: Do you, or anyone else, have any fresh feedback about this stock? I'd especially love to hear from techies, who can make comparisons of faster-than-real-time Burstware vs. streaming video applications.

Thank you.
