Pravin,
Thanks for your reply. I want to apologize to the thread for posting some mis-information. After going through the 10K I found out that yahoos posting of 13,000 employees was incorrect and that nsm had 6480 employees at year end which equates to revenue per employee of approximately 308K. This means that they are very competitive when compared to like size chip companies, lsi, vlsi, amd. However the gorilla(intc) enjoys the tremendous advantage of scale and squeezes out more than 400K per employee.
The one thing that originally convinced me to buy nsm is their willingness to invest in research and they continue to do so. Your post was encouraging because it illustrates the result of this research investment.
I tend to be conservative and have a long term approach. This is why I recently bought the stock at 9 1/4 and sold year 2001 leaps(12 1/2 strike) at 3. My net of 6 1/4 is a double if the stock appreciates by 35 % over 21 months and I have safety down to 6 1/4. Last year I bought lsi at a net of 18 but have to give up the stock at 30 since I sold year 2000 calls(30 strike).
So my approach is to try to determine if a stock is a survivor rather than home run material. For this reason your post is encouraging.
