This month's Fortune has the new Fortune 500 list. AOL is number 10 in its industry group, which is Computer and Data Services. It is the only internet company listed. The list is based on revenues, profits, earnings per share, total return to investors, and employees. The companies ahead of AOL on that industry list are EDS, Unisys, Computer Sciences, First Data, Automatic Data Proc, and Comdisco. I've not even heard of some of these. The figure I think is most significant to us as investors is Total Return to Investors, in which AOL is rated #1 in the industry group. Oh, and Revenues are only average with respect to the others in the group, but in revenue growth, AOL is #2.
