Lennert J. Leader became President of AOL Investments in February of 1998 after serving nine years as America Online's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer. He is responsible for managing AOL's growing portfolio of investments in public and private companies, making investments for AOL and guiding its merger and acquisitions activities.

Mr. Leader joined the company in 1989 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and played an instrumental role in transforming AOL from a small , private company with $20 million in revenues and 100 employees to its current position as global leader with over $2.5 billion in revenues , over 9,500 employees and with the largest market capitalization in its sector.

Prior to joining AOL in 1989, Mr. Leader was Vice President, Finance, of Legent Corporation, a leading systems software and services company that was formed by the merger in 1988 of Morino, Inc. and Duquesne Systems, Inc.

From 1986 to 1988, Mr. Leader was Chief Financial Officer of Morino, Inc., a systems software and services company. He played a key role in growing the business, helping take Morino public in 1986, and executing an aggressive acquisition and investment strategy. Mr. Leader was Director of Finance of Morino, Inc. from 1984 to 1986.
