El - acquisitions as such do not affect earnings - they are "treasury" transactions. I think CPQ has used up all of the possible 1-time charges from the DEC acquisition. None of the other acquisitions are far enough along to affect earnings, and they are too small anyway - only items such as in-process R&D and other assets made unusable by the acquisition can be charged.
