In the last decade I've done business in three countries - Canada, New Zealand, and México. Also looked into things in the UK and the US. While various risks exist everywhere to some degree, it is in Canada that I have the greatest fear of whimsical government decisions. ... fwiw

Lorne - It's attitudes like yours that turn third world countries into environmental nightmares. The list of horrors perpetrated by mining companies from North America on the people of these countries is lengthy. If you expect Canada to act like this then you're sadly mistaken. Take your business elsewhere!
