Exactly...THE problem is that the people in charge of US foreign policy are not sure of anything these days...they just make it up as they go along...sure as hell are giving the whole world a strong message to start arming themselves and try to get the ultimate weapon, nukes... while destabilizing the sensitive Balkan region even more and threatening World Stability by giving the Russian extremists lots of stuff to ponder upon!

There is good reason for keeping Saddam. His existence and defiance allows the U.S. to maintain a large military presence in the region (period); good for strategical reasons. He is now just a petty dictator and the world has accepted such a large U.S. presence in the Gulf for safety of Arab nations.
