Took my family and my ten year olds' friends to BJs Woodland Hills for his birthday (among other activities of which a sleepover is still going on). Arrived at about 545 pm and the place was totally hopping with people being seated as fast as they could walk in and by the time we left there was an hour and a half wait. Besides the tables being full the huge bar area was just loaded with people, music everywhere, and sports on the TVs. Virtually every table had glass after glass of beer at each place setting (margins), although early on there were lots of families, even some with little babies. The peripheral areas away from the bar are a little quieter and more conducive to families. Paul Motenko and Jerry Hennessy were both onhand as they always are during the early operations of new locations. I won't even go into detail about the lavish attention they bestowed on this shareholder. Louis Navilier was on CNBC this week touting 'value stocks with earnings'. I am looking very forward to hearing about 1st and especially 2nd quarter numbers, and also hopefully about the next locations targeted for new stores. I also suggested to Mr. Motenko that the web site be updated to include the new locations, which I didn't notice there last time I checked, although the recent news releases are being added as they are released. Can't get out of my mind the throng of people filling the bar area, and also just recalled that they have some multi-level waiting areas where you can also drink or get appetizers and sit on couches while waiting for your table, or just hang out away from the bar. The layout of this place really is conducive to a jubilant atmosphere.
