DJ newswire 4:50p: Japan's Compaq To Cut Corporate Prices by 20%

Will gradually reduce prices of corporate-use personal computers and servers from Monday, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported in its Monday morning edition, citing company officials.

PC prices will come down an average 15% and server prices an average 30%. the move follows IBM Japan Ltd.'s slashing of standard prices on PCs for corporate users last Tuesday.
