I'm surprised they just don't take him out. Seems like that would be a lot more humane than what is currently going on.

Are the futures down due to the Russian threat or just because of the CPQ debacle?

It is my understanding that the Russians are too dependent on the funds they receive from outside sources like the IMF

Most funds they receive now go to pay off loans they've already received. Poke 'em in the eye once to often, and they just might realize their hand is stuck in the proverbial monkey-jar-trap.

Milosevic has already won. He won when NATO said "no ground troops". He could care less about the bombing; anybody with a history in the region can tell you they've survived far, far worse. He will get the part of Kosovo he cares about, the bombing has solidified his position (which, ironically, was quite shaky before) and he even gets the West to take care of the Albanians because the NATO half will turn into a giant refuge camp.

NATO has been played.
