stockid...buying dell puts..

if dell falls in sympathy with cpq tommorrow, and the implied volatility approaches the percent move as it did when dell had the perceived problems on 2/17...then you're on the wrong side of the trade if you buy a put for insurance...you may never be able to recover the aberration of the iv, even if the stock drops...be better if you sell puts...which is always the winning side of the trade on "crazy" trading days...give it some thought..ed a.

p.s..dell execs selling very very old..it was yearly program...note well the dell execs buying also...not so with cpq

Stockid,
Hi!!!

RE: Kemble, I'm thinking about buying some puts to cover my downsize action. From all I have been reading and hearing Dell might be in for a short term dip...due to CPQ and Dell exec's selling of the security.

Originally, I believed the same...in talking with Bachman yesterday he felt the same way....Looks as if some folks are starting to figure this out...COMPAQ has a problem: DELL

Best, Kemble
