Australian stocks open down amid US earnings woes ...

Do you think this one gives an indication of tomorrows open AND close??

(REUTERS) Nikkei = 2
Nikkei = 2

Weakness in New York stocks on Friday and a sharp fall in the
S&P 500 futures traded on Globex after Compaq Computer Corp
<CPQ.N> made a downward revision to its earnings forecast
combined to make investors wary, said traders.
The defeat of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party candidate
in the Tokyo gubernatorial elections at the weekend may also be a
negative factor, traders said.
"The market could dip to 16,500 if the election result is
taken badly," said Kokichi Kumagai, equity trading manager at New
Japan Securities.
