RTev, Re: that forbes article stating how Intel was smart to resolve their problems. Intel just had to deal with one organizations, the FTC. MSFT case is very different since you have all these states involved. They are not just interested in doing what is right. They have political pressure from their constituents---it is just not publicized. A lot of big companies with bases in certain states are lobbbying big time against MSFT. I bet there are a lot of Senator Gordon of Washington types but on the other side. They are just keeping quiet for now. An example is Orin Hatch of Utah----is there any doubt that some companies are influencing his actions. No doubt as far as I am concerned.

No wonder the settlement process is made difficult. I still don't understand whether every state has to agree to a settlement or is just a majority required?
