MORON FUND MANAGER Olstein who holds steel and airline stocks living in 19th century

I'll give you steel, but just have to point out that first heavier than air flight was Dec 17, 1903, so airlines would have to be a 20th century idea. Of course, in aggregate, the airlines have never made a dime in 70 years, have they?

... Up to now, I've appreciated your posts and optimistic view of LU, which I share. But your "shoot the messenger" mentality is sheer foolishness, and you are also sadly ignorant of how major media companies such as the NY Times are evolving and prospering. The NY Times web site, for instance, has over 7 million subscribers and fast-growing internet ad revenue.
... But don't bother to read it if you want to know only the news and views that you agree with.

"How many times people want to rehash this stupid article based on ONE MORON FUND MANAGER Olstein who holds steel and airline stocks living in 19th century. Even Bloomberg rehashes the piece. Just because NY times puts out one fund managers opinion, we should not make too much of it. There are 7000 Fund managers with 7000 opinions. You can not worry about what every idiot thinks about your stock and company. Bunch of BS. LUCENT is a future comapny, steel companies this idiot owns are the thing of the past.

NYTimes is an ass oof a paper to publish one managers opinion in an article. Even NY times will become thing of the past with the Internet."

You posted this on Sunday...just look what happened today! And we can thank Ms. Gretchen Morgenson for writing the article.

I guess Robert Olstein, who manages Olstein Financial Alert Mutual Fund has some influence on the STREET after all.

And I was trying to ride LUCENT up till about April 20 or 21, just before the announce earnings after the bell on Thursday, April 22. If things follow the pattern set in the last couple of quarterly announcements where LUCENT beat the STREET and fell the next day and for several days after those announcements...well, this time I was planning to sell right before.

The last couple of tradings days has cost me quite a few paper bucks. I hope LUCENT can come back in the next 5 or 6 trading days.
