Eugene -- <folks trying to protect themselves until INTC report> A run-up in stock prices followed by selling on the news -- no matter what the earnings -- is not at all uncommon. There is no reason why the intc report will reverse selling momentum -- and a sell-off in the face of ok earnings would spread to other stocks quickly. Buy the rumor etc. -- same old story. Which could lead to a lot of people heading for the exits just as we are getting into earnings season. Very possible we made a top in the market Friday. It would not take much (in fact there does not have to be any reason beyond profit taking and valuation) to see a 10-15% drop in the market here -- or, of course, more than that.
