Perhaps you don't understand what I'm saying. Current treatment guidelines for diabetics do not entail 11 Liver Function Tests in a year. But the FDA has mandated this for Diabetics utilizing Rezulin.

Baseline (blood) lab tests for a diabetic generally include HbAic, fasting lipid profile, serum creatinine, and thyroid function tests. Other baseline tests such as Urinalysis, EKG and other are also part of the workup.

Patients are trained to perform self-monitoring of blood glucose values generally by performing finger sticks. They then place the drop of blood on a tape or rub it on a small monitor and they record the reading. This can be used to help them or the physician make adjustments to dosage and or type as necessary.

Many would say that follow-up visits should take place with a Physician at least quarterly and definitely more often if the patient is not achieving optimal glycemic control. Generally, blood glucose and HbA1c values are requested.

Once again, the vast majority of Diabetics are not required to have 11 Liver Function Tests as part of their diabetes workup unless they have some other pathologic process ongoing. If one of the two Rezulin competitors come out and work just as well but do not require 11 Liver Function Tests the first year, Rezulin will lose market share. This is all I am pointing out.

People can either consider the possibility now or be forced to deal with it in few months.

Stock has been performing well lately despite Rezulin publicity.

It doesn't seem like an easy job for those who attempt to talk it down. What a shame for the wasted time.
