Are you suggesting that there are Christian sects who do not accept the Old Testament as part of the Bible?

Everybody knows, Christians and non-Christians alike, that the Bible is made up of two parts -- the Old Testament and the New Testament.

That does NOT mean that all Christian denominations (nicer word than sects) "accept" the Old Testament in the sense of viewing the whole thing as the Word of God, as prescribing behavior or beliefs that they as Christians must follow, or anything of that sort. Heck, there are Christians who do not "accept" all of the NEW Testament, either. For example, except for fundamentalists, almost everyone regards Revelations as a crock.

Chuzzlewit, you puzzle me...Haven't you ever met any Unitarians???

And to what are you referring here?

I was surprised at your comment about the irrelevance of what
Jesus actually said.

Where did I ever say anything about "irrelevance"?
