how will 5fer explain 6%/50% disparity....


I think if he did it would go something like this:

Sales were so poor that we lowered prices on our PCs to offset the revenue shortfall. Since we had so many computers on our shelves, thanks to the channel stuffing last quarter, we ended up selling the darn things below cost.

Maybe the disparity between revenue and earnings shortfalls lies in unmentioned charges. Is the .15 they are projecting now operating earnings, before charges, diluted, what? I don't think they really said.
