Hughes Lies to it's own DirecPC Customers

here is text directly from a recent mailing:
(Big Red "You're Moving Up in the World." post card)

"In the coming weeks, your DirecPC service is being moved from its current location on DirecPC's satellite to a new transponder that will help us serve you better. There's just ONE hitch. If you are using an old ISA-format card to receive your DirecPC service, you'll need a PCI card - or you won't be able to receive our service once we've made the move to our new location. But, don't worry, we'll send you a new PCI card free of charge. (goes on to describe how to get one)
Note that we're not CHANGING satellites, so NO DISH REPOINTING will be required." (goes on about getting technical support)

direcpc.com

This offer is a complete bald faced
lie, that will be biting thousends of
DirecPC users in the ass next month.
The fact of the matter is, there are
many older DirecPC/ISA Card kits sold
more than a year ago which are NOT
compatible with this new PCI transponder
because they have been pointed at
special ISA support satellite ever
since their Satellite failed completely
early last year. This means owners of
older ISA Card based Kits, will in FACT
HAVE TO REPOINT THEIR DISH, and
while DirecPC was willing to pay for this
service back when their Satellite failed,
they are NOT offerring to Pay the labor
to repoint your Dish this time. This means
that thousends of customers will have to
climb on their roofs and REPOINT their
Dish for the THIRD TIME IN TWO YEARS!!!
(and believe me, you can use up several
Sunday's till you actually find signal)

I'm so fed up with these idiot liers, that
I finally threw in the towel and cancelled
my service. I just can't afford the time,
aggrevation, and Repointing labor costs,
every time Hughes decides to play musical
Satellites with it's DirecPC customers.
Hear I am, a pioneering customer from
New York, who got a DirecPC Dish for
$700 back before it was even in Distribution,
and look at the way I've been shamelessly
abused for my investment. It's pathetic.
If I owned stock in this company, I'd pull
the certificate out and burn them in feces.
