This morning CNBC had quite a strong piece on the use of Chat groups to hype up or Down by posters, who on occasion have even dummied up news releases purporting to originate from the company being reported.

In my mind I have no doubt that some of our juvenile minded posters with their assertive statements about what the price is doing (instead of what it MIGHT do) very well might fit into this category.
I'm not sure whether SW's editorial comment which they are circulating as news releases should not also fit into this group. If this is part of SW's war on the ridiculous VSE monopolistic Mews dissemination ruling that's one thing but if it is a serious attempt to have the so-called Business Reporter digest and editorialize about any Real News that is around that's something else again.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this but maybe we do need some more regulation of this activity. Personally I enjoy reading some posts and I need to see Company sourced News Releases, but above all I need to know which it is that I'm reading. Starting in the States it looks as if we're going to get more anyway .
