To me, 'back-end' could mean something which competes with VCST.

It could also mean a partnership with VCST, just thinking out loud.

The IBM?REAL software is designed to protect music from the internet being pirated (i.e. without paying for it) This capability has nothing to do with the VCST net streamer products.It is true that the net streamer will afford access to video along with the excellent audio.VCST plays no role in this new capablity announced by IBM today.
