AOL currently back up to 156. If you got some at 147 it was a nice 30 minute gain.

FWIW, new buy recommendation from Soundview Technology Group - news.com.

No, I've never heard of them ... and no, I don't think it will make an iota of difference today. Just hope that the real money doesn't confuse sorry CPQ with AOL. This must go down as one of the most irresponsible acts of management I've ever seen or heard of. 50% shortfall, and not a word about it till the end. This is one way to make sure the street will blacklist your stock forever. Fool me once, shame on me - fool me twice, shame on you ...

Everyone go have a margarita and watch something besides the wire :)

S.

Investors seem to like AOL's latest deal with American, Hertz, etc..
AOL's stock price is at $159, if it were not for Compaq's announcement we would probably see significant upside. Should be very interesting after INTEL reports on tuesday, if the beat estimates it will bring back the bulls who are on the sidelines and AOL should resume its upward trend.
