Rob (and rest of thread),

The "value" in IDT seems to rest in several loosely related parts. There is the core logic business, of course, that includes the communications chips. There is QED, ClearLogic and Centaur.

My question is, would IDT be worth more in its current form or as separate companies? As far as I know, QED and ClearLogic are already separate corporate entities while Centaur is not. What would happen to our stock value if all stakes in QED, ClearLogic and Centaur were to be sold off, either as another company buying a stake or (say in the case of Centaur) spinning it off? Would it increase or decrease? I can give arguments for both sides.

For the record, I've been a shareholder for a few years now, having bought in after the first big plunge after the historic highs on the theory that it was beaten down but it would come back in a cyclical way (=sob=).
