Stick, yes my firm has June99 deadline for y2k remediation... we add database sw from time to time... been hearing more and more about IT mgrs who will not want to see their unspent budgets go unspent... and to date their hw/sw budgets may not be anywhere near spent

I re-read what Schmidt had to say from more than one publication... he emphasized Oracle brand name, favorable name for addition to mutual funds, strong position as leading DB vendor for the data hungry economy... agree with other reasons you cite--web access, shift to ERP, data mining... sw buys will not stop dead in tracks though, but expect they will slow

recent posts point to dead cat bounce, and another to continued recovery to resistance at 32... always interesting to observe how perceptions change after price moves... at first it is reflex bounce, then at such low price the favorable products and positioning starts to gather more nods, then it has momentum and a mind of its own and tests old support levels... hope it happens here

8i is awesome... lets get some mgmt news out soon... expecting news later this month to begin, and continue into May... much lower volume today with market ignoring the Compaq news at PC woes, not tech woes... another day of taking a breather maybe? then go for 28 resistance?
