Harvey has been picking up 10 cent return cans and bottles along the highway lately. He has a custom bicycle ordered with double baskets and thinks that this is the answer he has been looking for to generate some summer $$$. He also has been sneaking onto the golf course of late and finding and selling golf balls. El

What effect will INTC earnings have on short-term CPQ stock price?

1. If INTC meets expectations, then CPQ problems are company specific and therefore CPQ should drop.

2. If INTC disappoints, then whole sector is in trouble and CPQ should drop with the rest of the sector.

In both cases CPQ should drop after INTC earnings. What is wrong with this logic? (Has this already been taken into account by the market?)
