I repeat. Where is Intels new core now? The K6 was answered with P-II where as the K6 was compared to the Pentium. I know the P-II was really a new core but certainly was a major jump.
Seems Intel is going to have to rely on Coppermine. 256k in die is not new, so it rests on .18u. Something Intel may beat AMD to market with but as Scumbria has said. Coppermine at 600 on .18u and K7 at 600 on .25 doesn't give Intel their usual distance ahead.
It will be great fun to watch. Meanwhile AMD stock holds up today and Intel is trashed.
I have also lowered my AMD estimates to -.76 for QTR 1.
