I feel prety sure, then that you are in the middle of an ACATS transfer. If so, you should be able to continue doing business, as in selling NSOL, until the day your shares actually leave the account. Call your broker ( the one you're leaving) and ask if your stock shows long in the account....if so, you can sell.

Contrary to what brokerages whould lead you to think, your account does not go into a black hole when you transfer. The day shares stop showing long at one account, they shouls show up long the next morning at the receiving account.
