I could see QWST using the promise of a split to convince CLECs to sell out, much the same way a split was one of the terms of the AT&T-TCI merger.

here are some thing i think will drive QWST this quarter:

- continuing great revenue/earnings growth
- acquisitions news in the local market space
- completion of the U.S. 18,500 mile network
- the annual shareholder meeting on 5/5
- a split
- sector momentum
